About us

Fast and secure from road to rail and vice versa.

TSSU (Tiroler Straße-Schiene-Umschlaggesellschaft) is Tyrol's only terminal operator for unaccompanied combined transport – a capable partner for intermodal road and rail transport for over 30 years.

The company was established in Hall in Tyrol in 1990 and operated out of a facility in the Tyrol logistics zone until 1994. Since the opening of the new terminal together with the approach road for the Hall-West motorway in 1995, the TSSU has been operating from the Gebrüder Weiss Holding AG site.

Over the past few decades, the terminal operator has established itself as a capable service provider for the transport industry in the unit train and wagon group segment of national and international rail transport. TSSU's core activities include loading/unloading and storage of swap bodies, overseas containers and semi-trailers as well as container trucking. Thanks to many years of experience, specialist know-how and the necessary equipment, the terminal in Hall can now transfer all types of craneable transport containers quickly and professionally between road and rail, no matter how big or small. If required, the experts from TSSU can also take care of customs formalities, pre- and post-carriage shipment and minor repairs to containers.

The TSSU offers optimal combined transport solutions – cost-effective, secure and environmentally friendly.
